Icecream Vs sticky toffee pudding PDF Print E-mail

Some people like ice cream some people like sticky toffee pudding some people like both some people like neither.

So what is the point of all this - this is a review site - i am reviewing the difference between ice cream and sticky toffee pudding eaters - not only is one often larger than the other they are fundamentally psychologically different.  sticky puddingSome people prefer ice cream, it comes in many flavours it can be a meal or a snack, a palette refresher or an indulgent afternoon.  It can be enjoyed with sprinkles or sauce hot or cold or it can be devoured when alone.  It can be naughty it can be fat free you see there are endless possibilities.  Other people like Sticky Toffee Pudding - don't get me wrong it has its place in pudding history the problem is its fairly 1 dimensional.  Ok you can have it with cream, custard or ice cream but once you have appreciated the sticky toffeeness its about over really.  So what has this to do with anything well first i have to explain some people like neither ice cream or STP but am i talking puddings or people?  Its fine to like neither many do but how fine is it to be fine?

And so to the meat or the sugar as such of this.  Today i experienced yet another Stick Toffee pudding eater who would definitely not eat ice cream and the sad part is this is an ice cream generation person, they view life as it was viewed 30 years ago its not a good idea.  Now if you tried to tell an ice cream eater a sprinkle of marshmallows or chocolate flakes was a good idea they may well try it and then form an opinion but potentially you have influenced learned behaviour which may change it or at least put doubt where there was once certainty - this may be a positive step forward alternatively it may be negative however what is important is flexibility.  Apparently Europe is losing large amounts of money every year because of our inefficient use of ICT and our personal lack of flexibility.  Surely it is simple if we were all ice cream eaters ready to try new flavours we would have a happier world.  Well yes and no.

The joy of Sticky Toffee Pudding eaters is that they are solid reliable and to a point adventurous as high consumption will mean trips to shops and people and new outfits to accommodate expanding waist lines.  You see they are the pillars the foundations of our monolithic society the base the grounding the inevitable flag stones.  We could not exist without these people but we cannot progress without STP eaters who like ice cream on the side.

ice cream... yummyNow there is a strange notion flexibility with reliability, creativity with grounding, we need our crazy ice cream eaters, we need our STP munchers but we need our neither one nor the others for a little old fashioned glue.  Now the scary scenario is a world with people who only like cheese and refuse to try both, they are unbending, determined, focused and frightening - don't look left or right look straight ahead don't deviate don't hesitate Just keep going.

Point taken they may sound useful but in the context of this conversation Cheese is not ice cream or STP or even a combination, we must nurture these people and coach them into the sugary delights of both to reduce marginalisation, hurt and isolation.

Back to my question which is better ice cream or STP - is this really a question that can be answered?
